Vietnamese team jet off to Qatar to prepare for Asian Cup 2019 finals

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese men’s football team left Hanoi for Qatar on December 27th to prepare for the Asian Cup 2019 finals.

Back in training for the first time since the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 triumph, the team is having a well earned 4 day rest before the Asian Cup 2019 finals commences.
The Vietnamese team played the DPRK in Hanoi on Christmas day, December 25th. The match was the penultimate warm-up game for the Vietnamese squad before the Asian Cup kicks off next month.
Vietnam were held to a 1-1 draw with the DPRK in a friendly match held at the My Dinh National Stadium.
Head coach Park Hang-seo on December 26th announced his squad list of 24 players who will travel to Qatar for the team’s training camp ahead of the AFC Asian Cup 2019.
Vietnam flew to Qatar on December 27th.

Vietnam will meet the Philippines on December 31th. They will then travel to UAE on January 4th to prepare for their first match in Group D against Iraq on January 8th. They will play Iran on January 12th and then Yemen on January 16th.
