Vietnam wins 26 gold medals at Finswimming’s World Cup

VOV.VN - Local finswimmers successfully brought home 26 gold, 11 silver, and five bronze medals to top the medal tally at the Finswimming’s World Cup in Phuket, Thailand.

Indonesia finished second with five gold, seven silver, and nine bronze medals. Elsewhere, Thailand won a total of 28 medals and Japan earned 20 medals, being placed in third and fourth positions, respectively.

The Finswimming’s World Cup was held in Phuket from September 2 to September 5, drawing the participation of hundreds of finswimmers from 16 countries worldwide.

Vietnam sent a total of 18 athletes to compete in the tournament.

The event was their first international competition since the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games more than three months ago, with Vietnam dominating the event, winning 10 out of 13 gold medals on offer.
