Vietnam to meet DPRK in 2019 AFC U-16 Women's Championship

VOV.VN -Vietnam’s national under-16 women’s football team are set to take on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the 2019 AFC U-16 Women's Championship, which is underway in Thailand.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 on September 16 with the Institute of Physical Education Chonburi Campus stadium hosting the event.

Vietnam have been drawn in Group B along with the Repulic of Korea (RoK), China, and the DPRK at the AFC U-16 Women's Championship,.

Following their clash against the DPRK, the U16 women’s team will play the RoK team at 19:00 on September 19, before their final group match against China at 19:00 on September 22.

Elsewhere in the tournament, Group A is made up of Thailand, Japan, Bangladesh, and Australia.

The eight teams are set to compete in a round-robin format with the first and second-placed teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals.

The tournament’s top two teams will qualify as the AFC representatives for the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup which will take place in India, who qualify for the tournament automatically.
