Vietnam team finish second in U15 international football tournament
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s national under-15 football team finished second in the U15 International Football Tournament- Acecook Cup –after suffering a 3-2 defeat to the Republic of Korea (RoK) in the last match which took place in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on August 30.

It took until the 54th minute for the RoK to make a breakthrough with Lee Kyu Dong opening the scoring with a header.
The Vietnamese team, backed by the support of 5,000 home fans, turned the tie on its head as striker Cai Van Quy scored two goals in the 74th and 77th minutes to put the hosts 2-1 up.
Even with their courageous fightback, the Vietnamese team were unable to hold on to their lead as the Korean team hit back with two goals in the final minutes to give a final score of 3-2 in favour of the RoK.
Following their victory, the RoK became the champions of the tournament while the Vietnamese team had to settle for second place.
Elsewhere, Russia beat Myanmar 3-1 to secure a third-place finish.
