Vietnam secures second win over Thailand at SEA V.League 2025

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese men’s volleyball team claimed another victory over Thailand on July 18 in the second leg of the ongoing the 2025 SEA V.League in Indonesia.

Having previously beaten Thailand 3-1 in the opening match, Vietnam once again prevailed in the rematch, showcasing a confident and cohesive performance.

Strong coordination and well-balanced play on both offense and defense enabled Vietnam to take the first set 25-19. Thailand responded sharply in the second set, leveling the score with a 25-16 win.

The contest remained tight in the next two sets. Vietnam edged ahead in the third with a 25-21 win, before Thailand equalized again by claiming the fourth 25-19.

In the deciding fifth set, standout performances by outside hitters Ngoc Thuan and Trong Nghia, along with a string of powerful serves, allowed Vietnam to pull away and secure a 15-11 win.

Vietnam will next face the Philippines on July 20.
