VOV.VN - The young Vietnamese men's tennis team has successfully advanced to the qualifying finals of the 2022 Junior Davis Cup for the Asia-Pacific region.

The team’s progress comes thanks to their outstanding performance against Singapore with a score of 2-1 and the withdrawal of other teams. The Vietnamese team therefore ranked third place in the preliminary round.

Moving forward, three Vietnamese players, including Nguyen Minh Phat of Hung Thinh FC, Pham La Hoang Anh of Hai Dang FC, and Nguyen Dai Khanh of Becamex Binh Duong FC, will face off against strong rivals from 15 countries. This includes taking on rivals from Iran, Kazakhstan, Australia, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Syria, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Uzbekistan, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Malaysia.

The qualifying finals of the 2022 Junior Davis Cup for the Asia-Pacific region are scheduled to take place from April 11 to April 16 at R. K. Khanna tennis stadium in New Delhi, India.
