Vietnam in contention to qualify from Group C of AFC U23 Asian Cup
VOV.VN - Vietnam's U23 football team are currently ranked third in Group C at the AFC U23 Asian Cup after holding their rivals Thailand to a 2-2 draw in the team’s opening match on June 2 in Uzbekistan.
Elsewhere, the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s U23 side beat Malaysia’s U23 team with a score of 4-1 to win first place.
Thailand are second while Malaysia drop to the bottom of Group C.
There is plenty left to play for in the group, with Vietnam’s upcoming matches coming against the RoK and Malaysia on June 5 and June 8, respectively.
In Group A Uzbekistan are up to first position, while Turkmenistan are bottom. In Group B, Australia top the rankings while Kuwait remain in last place.
Currently no matches have been played in Group D.
