Vietnam come in second at Belarus tactical shooting competition
VOV.VN - The Vietnam People’s Army shooting team finished joint runners-up at a tactical shooting competition recently held in Belarus.
According to a statement released by the Belarusian Ministry of Defence on its Telegram channel on June 28, the championship title went to the Western Operational Command team. The Vietnamese team shared second place with Belarus' 38th Air Assault Brigade, while Belarus’ Special Operations Forces team finished third.
The competition brought together multiple teams to compete in a series of demanding tactical events, including individual, pair and team categories. Participants were tested in scenarios such as responding to a surprise enemy encounter and relay events designed to assess their decision-making, speed and shooting accuracy under high-pressure conditions.
Speaking to Belarus Today, Vietnamese shooter Do Thanh Tin shared that it was his first time competing in an international tournament of this kind. He described the competition as a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and expressed his appreciation for the hospitality of the hosts, adding that he hopes to return to the country in the future.
