VOV.VN - Vietnamese pickleball player Truong Vinh Hien capped a memorable campaign at the PPA Singapore Open 2026 by winning a silver medal in men's doubles and a bronze in men's singles, underlining Vietnam's growing competitiveness on the PPA Asia Tour.
Vinh Hien finished runner-up in the men's doubles division after partnering Japan's Kenta Miyoshi in an impressive run to the final of the PPA Singapore Open 2026 on July 26.
The Vietnam-Japan duo advanced to the championship match after a series of strong performances, where they faced tournament top seeds Collin Johns and Len Yang (USA).
In a closely contested final, Vinh Hien and Miyoshi pushed their opponents throughout the match before eventually falling 2-1.
Although they narrowly missed the title, the pair earned widespread praise for producing one of the tournament's most competitive finals against the No. 1 seeds.
Vinh Hien also enjoyed success in the men's singles competition, claiming the bronze medal to complete the tournament with two podium finishes.
His consistent performances across both events highlighted his versatility and ability to compete with some of Asia's strongest professional players.

Held from July 23 to 26 at The Sports Arena @ Singapore Expo, the tournament attracted many of Asia's leading players alongside international competitors.
The professional division featured a prize pool of US$70,000, with winners in each event earning 500 PPA ranking points toward the global standings.
The PPA Asia Tour has rapidly grown into Asia's premier professional pickleball circuit, staging tournaments across Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, Macau (China), Tokyo, Singapore and, later this year, Ho Chi Minh City.
