Sports tournament connects Vietnamese expatriates in Cambodia

VOV.VN - A sporting event known as the "VBCC OPEN CUP” took place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to mark the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution, on August 19, and National Day, on September 2.

The event, which was co-organised by the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnam Business Club in Cambodia, consisted of five sporting events. The occasion saw participants enjoy games of golf, table tennis, badminton, tennis, and football.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh

According to Vu Quang Minh, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia, the tournament aimed to show national pride whilst building solidarity among both the expat community, and staff of Vietnamese agencies within Cambodia.

He added that the event running until the end of August 25 also served as an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Cambodia to promote the image of the nation’s land and people.
