Premier League trophy to return to Hanoi for fans to see up close

FPT Play will bring the trophy to Vietnamese fans at a special event called Bring It Home - The Premier League Trophy Comes to Vietnam on August 30 at Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street in Hanoi’s Hai Ba Trung ward. The event will be the only stop in Vietnam on the Premier League’s global Trophy Tour, according to organiser.

The programme is free to attend, and fans can enter from 3 p.m. They will be able to see and take photos with the original Premier League trophy, an iconic symbol of the competition.

The programme will also feature live performances by popular Vietnamese artists including Anh Tu, Kay Tran, Trang Phap and LyLy, adding an entertainment element to the football-themed event. 

It will culminate in a watch party for Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion, one of the headline fixtures of Matchweek 2 in the 2026/27 Premier League season.

Chelsea, one of the traditional “Big Six” clubs, will enter the new season with ambitions of returning to the title race after significant investment in the transfer market.

The match is expected to provide the centerpiece for the evening, allowing fans to experience the Premier League atmosphere together while the original trophy is on display.

FPT Play holds exclusive Premier League broadcasting and media rights in Vietnam through the end of the 2030/31 season. The 2026/27 campaign marks its first full season of Premier League coverage across both Internet Protocol television (IPTV) and Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms, with broadcasts available in up to 4K quality on Smart TVs, smartphones, FPT Play Box, PCs and tablets.
