The East Asian side is fully prepared for their tournament in the group. At the qualifiers, North Korea U20 is staying at the same hotel as host nation Vietnam U20. The arrival of the East Asian team completes the four-team lineup for Group C, alongside Vietnam, Iran, and Palestine.
North Korea is a traditional powerhouse in the AFC U20 Asian Cup. Historically, the team has won three championship titles and finished as runners-up twice. Notably, North Korea has advanced to the final tournament in each of its last eight appearances.
Boasting good physical stature and a power-based playing style, North Korea U20 is considered a formidable opponent for Vietnam, Iran, and Palestine. The delegation arrived in Vietnam with 30 members, including 23 players and seven coaches and officials.
