VOV.VN - The Vietnam national futsal team secured a convincing 4-1 victory over New Zealand in their second match of the 2026 Continental Futsal Championship on August 2.
Pushing forward from the outset, the team applied early pressure through dangerous attempts from Da Hai and Trong Kien. The dominant start paid off in the 4th minute when Trinh Cong Dai struck low to break the deadlock.
New Zealand responded by pressing higher, but goalkeeper Van Tu delivered crucial saves to maintain the 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
The second half turned into a tightly contested affair as New Zealand equalized through Paulsen in the 30th minute.
However, a prompt tactical adjustment quickly bore fruit. Chau Doan Phat restored the lead with a precise strike before Thinh Phat and Thai Huy scored two quick goals to seal a resounding 4-1 win.
