National squad hold first training session in Indonesia

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese men’s national football team took part in their first training session at the Gelora Samudra stadium in Bali on October 13 in preparation for their upcoming World Cup 2022 qualifier against Indonesia in the Asian zone’s second qualification round.

Situated approximately 34km from the team’s hotel, the squad held their first practice at the Gelora Samudra stadium.
As usual, head coach Park Hang-seo checks the pitch quality ahead of the start of the training session.
The session began with a low intensity warm-up exercise.
Despite the poor quality of the pitch, striker Tien Linh takes control of the ball.
Defender Bui Tien Dung moved cautiously throughout the session in a bid to avoid injury.

The national squad only have time to hold a single training session in the Kapten I Wayan Dipta stadium before they take on Indonesia.

Vietnam are scheduled to play Indonesia in Group G of the Asian zone’s second qualifying round for the World Cup 2022 at 6:30pm on October 15.
