National squad hold final training session before Malaysia showdown

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese men’s football team held their final practice in Hanoi on October 9 ahead of their upcoming World Cup 2022 qualifier against Malaysia in the Asian zone’s second qualifying round.

Both the players and coaching staff seemed enthusiastic ahead of the session. Many pundits believe the squad face a hard task in the form of a strong rival in Malaysia.
Van Kien and Xuan Manh, who both failed to make the squad for the upcoming fixture, took part in training as normal.
Quang Hai looked in good form during the practice.
Cong Phuong is expected to bring pace and creativity in attack for Vietnam.
Anh Duc has yet to recover fully from his recent injury.
Following his arrival from Europe, Van Hau only has a few days to practice alongside his teammates.
Newcomer Trong Hung takes part in heading drills.
Goalkeeper Dang Van Lam looks set to start in goal against Malaysia.
Manager Park Hang-seo will be hoping to win three points against Malaysia with the tie set to take place at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi at 8 pm on October 10.
