Nam makes it to ‘30 under 30' list
VOV.VN - Top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam is the only sportsperson to be named in the ‘30 under 30' list of outstanding figures from various fields by Forbes Vietnam Magazine.
A first in the nation's tennis history, Nam became a junior Grand Slam title-holder by winning the Wimbledon junior doubles in July. The player from the southern Tay Ninh Province has also entered the global top 1,000 rankings.
The list of 30 outstanding people under the age of 30 was first drawn up in 2015, to boost the start-up spirit and the desire for success among youngsters, Nguyen Bao Hoang, chairman of Interactive Media, the commercial representative of Forbes Viet Nam, said.
It also aims to honour young talents who have wide influence on the fields they are active in such as business, technological start-ups, science and social activities, besides art, music, entertainment and sports, he said.
