Minh fails in Mexico Grand Prix quarter-finals
Badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh failed in the quarter-finals of the Mexico Grand Prix on December 19.
World No 41 Minh lost to Thailand's Pannawit Thongnuam, world No 158, 21-15, 15-21, 18-21 in 58 minutes.
Earlier in the tournament, the Olympian Minh defeated No 4 seed and world number 30 Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand and Canadian player Martin Giuffre.
