Local referee to take charge of fixtures at 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers
VOV.VN - Vietnamese referee Truong Quoc Dung has been selected to officiate several matches during the upcoming qualifiers for the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, with the games scheduled to take place from April 6 to April 13 in Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.
Dung is notable for being the country’s only futsal referee to have reached an Elite level, the highest level in the FIFA referee system.
Kyrgyzstan has been chosen to host the qualifying round of the Central and Southern Asian region, whilst the qualification process for Western Asian teams will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
For the Southeast Asian region, the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship is slated for April 2-11 in Bangkok in Thailand, with the winners going on to represent the region by progressing to compete in the finals of the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup.
Moving forward, the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup is set to get underway in Kuwait between September 25 and October 20.
