International volleyball tournament opens in Vinh Long

A total of 10 teams are participating in the tournament, including four foreign representatives from China, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

The event will take place in a round-robin format, with the top two sides of each group moving onto the final game.

The competition will see two champions crowned, one in the male and another in the female category. Each winning team will be awarded a total of VND150 million, double the prize money of the version of the previous tournament.

Following the opening ceremony, the first match of the tournament will take place between the Vinh Long Television squad and their Singaporean rivals in the female category.

The aim of the tournament is to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution, on August 19, in addition to National Day, on September 2. The competition will conclude on August 31.
