Hoang Nam qualifies for quarterfinal stage of M15 Sharm El Sheikh
VOV.VN - Top Vietnamese tennis player Ly Hoang Nam surpassed Illya Beloborodko of Ukraine to qualify for the quarterfinals of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh’s second round which is currently underway in Egypt.
During the first half of the first set, the Vietnamese player’s poor performance allowed Illya Beloborodko, who had previously been defeated 6-3 by Nam in the first round, to take the lead. However, the nation’s leading player turned the tables on his opponent to draw before winning the first set.
Nam continued to down 3-1 in the first minutes of the second set, but managed to show his exceptional talent as he beat his Ukrainian rival 6-3.
The result therefore helped Nam to earn a ticket to qualify for the next round, in which he will face off against Marco Miceli of Italy.
