Full list of footballers to have played in Vietnam’s World Cup 2022 qualifiers

VOV.VN - A total of 17 Vietnamese footballers have played during Vietnam’s current campaign to qualify for the World Cup 2022, including the goalless with Thailand, the 1-0 win over Malaysia, and most recently the 3-1 win over Indonesia.

Dang Van Lam was a reassuring presence behind the defence against Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Captain Que Ngoc Hai has been terrific at the back for Vietnam in all three matches played so far.

Bui Tien Dung has usually partnered Ngoc Hai in defence during the current World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign.

Although Do Duy Manh played only 74 minutes against Thailand, he played the full 90 matches against Malaysia and Indonesia.

Doan Van Hau came on as a substitute for Duy Manh in the 74th minute against Thailand, whilst playing the full matches against Malaysia and Indonesia.

Midfielder Nguyen Trong Hoang completed 65 minutes against Thailand, the full match against Malaysia, and 87 minutes against Indonesia.

Nguyen Phong Hong Duy played the full game against Thailand and replaced Trong Hoang in the 87th minute against Indonesia.

Vu Van Thanh was a 65th minute substitute for Trong Hoang against Thailand, and came on for Tien Linh in the 75th minute against Indonesia.

Do Hung Dung has taken part in all three matches so far.

Nguyen Tuan Anh played the full match against Thailand and 45 minutes against Malaysia.

Pham Duc Huy replaced Tuan Anh in the 46th minute against Malaysia before starting against Indonesia.

Nguyen Quang Hai has been Vietnam’s key player in all three matches during the current qualifying campaign.

Nguyen Cong Phuong came on as a substitute for Tien Linh in the 46th minute against Thailand and started against Malaysia before being substituted in the 63rd minute.

Nguyen Van Toan has played plenty of football during the campaign so far, including the full match against Thailand, 87 minutes against Malaysia, and 67 minutes against Indonesia.
