Four Vietnamese players listed among all-star line-up of AFF Cup 2022
VOV.VN - The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) recently announced its all-star line-up from the recent AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, with four Vietnamese footballers making the selection.
Goalkeeper Dang Van Lam was the first name on the list after the shot stopper set a new record at the AFF Cup by going 588 minutes without conceding a goal.
Other Vietnamese players to make the team include defender Doan Van Hau and midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc, both of whom put in several outstanding performances during the 2022 version of the regional tournament.
Elsewhere, star striker Nguyen Tien Linh was included after being claiming the top goal scorer award at the competition, sharing the prestigious prize with Thai player Teerasil Dangda after both scored six goals each.
As winners of the AFF Cup, the team featured the presence of five footballers from Thailand, including central defender Kritsada Kaman, left defender Sasalak Haiprakhon, midfielders Theerathon Bunmathan and Sarach Yooyen, and striker Teerasil Dangda.
Striker Faisal Halim of Malaysia and central defender Jordi Amat of Indonesia were the other players called to make the all-star line-up.
