The opening round of the ASEAN Cup 2026 saw 18 goals scored across four matches in Groups A and B, highlighted by Vietnam's resounding 7-0 victory over Timor Leste.
Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac is the sole player to net a hat-trick in the tournament's opening fixture, placing the Vietnamese forward at the top of the scoring charts with three goals.
Trailing Dinh Bac are Paulo Josue (Malaysia), Kakana Khamyok (Thailand), and Do Hoang Hen (Vietnam), each having scored twice in their opening matches.
Among the nine players with a single goal are two other Vietnamese representatives: striker Nguyen Xuan Son and midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai.
