Becamex Binh Duong FC to play friendly with Japanese leading football club

VOV.VN - Becamex Binh Duong FC are scheduled to face Kawasaki Frontale FC of Japan in a friendly scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. on November 20 at Go Dau Stadium in Binh Duong province.

The match has been jointly organised by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee. The purpose of the fixture is to celebrate the 50-year anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan in 2023.

At a press conference held to announce the game on October 18 in Binh Duong province, Ho Hong Thach, president of Becamex Binh Duong FC, said the match will be held in the final period of the V.League 1 season, with the club bringing their best footballers to compete in the friendly.

Akihiro Yoshida, chairman of Kawasaki Frontale FC, said the Japanese side also had two more rounds to complete in the current J-League season, with plenty of good players being chosen for the upcoming friendly match against the Vietnamese side, including Thai star Chanathip Songkrasin.

Since 2013 Becamex Binh Duong FC and Kawasaki Frontale FC have held many exchange activities, with many youth teams and the Vietnamese national team taking part in training courses in Japan.
