Vietnam wins gold at 2026 MOS and ACP World Championships
VOV.VN - Vietnam has won several awards at the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship and the 2026 Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) World Championship, highlighting the strong performance of its students in international digital skills competitions.
At the world finals, held in Anaheim, California, USA, Vietnamese contestants earned one gold medal, two bronze medals, three top-10 finishes in the MOS competition and one top-five finish in the ACP competition.
In the MOS World Championship, Nguyen Mai Chi, a student at Vietnam Maritime University, won the gold medal in the Microsoft Excel 365 Apps category.
Bronze medals went to Nguyen Dinh Bao, from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Da Nang, in the Microsoft PowerPoint 365 Apps category, and Do Le Tuan Kiet, from Thai Binh Duong Primary, Secondary and High School in Dong Nai province, in the Microsoft Excel Office 2019 category.
According to organisers, only one set of medals is awarded in each competition category at the world finals, making multiple medal wins and high rankings a notable achievement for the Vietnamese team.
Doan Nguyen Van Khanh, CEO of IIG Vietnam and co-chair of the competition's national organising committee, said participating in the world finals gives students an opportunity not only to demonstrate their technical skills but also to develop resilience and adaptability for the evolving digital economy and global job market.
“We believe these achievements on the global stage will inspire more generations of Vietnamese students to participate confidently in international competitions and contribute to the development of a highly skilled workforce,” Khanh said.
The 2026 competition marked Vietnam's 17th participation in the MOS World Championship and its ninth appearance at the ACP World Championship.
Over the years, Vietnam has consistently achieved strong results in both competitions, reflecting the country’s growing emphasis on internationally recognised digital skills and graphic design training.
Including this year’s results, Vietnam has won a total of 28 world championship medals across the two competitions, including six gold, four silver and 18 bronze medals.
Vietnam pockets three medals at MOS World Championship
