Vietnam sees no new COVID-19 cases in community over four weeks
VOV.VN - The nation’s total novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases stood at 1,094, marking the 28th straight day with no fresh infections recorded in the country, the Ministry of Health reported on September 30.
In terms of the overall national tally, a total of 691 cases are locally transmitted, including 551 linked to the outbreak in Da Nang, the nation’s COVID-19 epicentre since July 25, whilst 403 cases are imported and placed into quarantine immediately after entering the country.
Among the positive cases currently receiving treatment, 17 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 at least one or multiple times.
There has been more than 15,950 people in quarantine nationwide, with more than 270 individuals at hospitals, whilst the remainder are at other quarantine facilities or at home.
With the country's COIVD-19 tally now remaining at 1,094, a total of 1,110 cases have made a recovery from the virus. However, 35 people have died as a result of severe chronic diseases and COVID-19 related complications.
