Vietnam – Australia AI forum takes place on October 27

VOV.VN - A Vietnam – Australia forum on artificial intelligence (AI) will be held virtually on October 27, bringing together leading AI experts from both countries.

More than 10 speakers from Australia and Vietnam are expected to share experience in AI research and development at the joint forum co-chaired Dr. Bui The Duy, Deputy Minister of Science & Technology of Vietnam, and Dr. Sue Keay, CEO of Queensland AI Hub.

The speakers will also introduce Vietnam’s national strategy on AI research & development and application and Australia’s AI action plan.

Leading AI experts from both countries will also discuss how to develop and operate the Vietnam Australia Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Network (VAA), as well as to define a vision and steps for future cooperation between the two countries.

The Government of Vietnam on January 26, 2021 promulgated a national strategy on Artificial Intelligence development. International cooperation plasy an important role in realizing goals in this strategy by 2030.

Vietnam has chosen Australia as its first partner to promote cooperation in the field of AI research and development. In August 2021, the Vietnam Australia Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Network was launched.
