In the next 24 to 48 hours, the typhoon will travel in the Northwest direction at a speed of 25kmp, and move inland from Da Nang to Phu Yen and then weaken into a tropical depression and a low pressure area.

From October 27 night to October 29, there will be downpours in the central localities from Thua Thien Hue to Phu Yen with rainfall of 200-400mm and 100-200 mm in North central Highlands.

Earlier on October 26, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to strictly monitor the typhoon’s developments , devise preventive measures for emergencies, and give top priority to ensuring the safety of life and property.

To cope with the complicated developments of the typhoon, competent agencies were ordered to stand ready to help natural disaster-hit localities evacuate local people to safe areas and carry out search and rescue operations, while media agencies were asked to step up communications on the developments of the typhoon.
