According to the indictment, Hang Anh Chinh of Thanh Hoa province and Giang Seo Chinh of Son La province were caught red handed on October 24, 2019, trafficking 30 cakes of heroin and 6,000 amphetamine tablets on a car into Cay Chanh village, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province.

Ignoring the police’s stop signals, the two drove their car into an on-duty car, injuring two police officers.

They tried to drive back the car to escape, but hit a container truck and two motorbikes running behind. Trapped on a highway, the two suspects opened the car to flee away, but failed shortly afterwards.

In the courtroom, they both confessed that they had been hired by a Lao citizen to bring the drugs from Huong Son district to Vinh city of neighbouring Nghe An province. They would have been paid for US$5,000 if the mission had been completed.
