Two COVID-19 relapse cases detected in Quang Nam
VOV.VN - Two patients from the central province of Quang Nam who had previously been discharged from hospital after making a recovery from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have once again tested positive for the virus.
The cases involve two nuns, a 55-year-old and a 75-year-old, of Bao Thang pagoda in Son Phong ward in Hoi An city. Originally the pair had been released from hospital on August 18 and August 27, respectively, after recording several consecutive negative tests for COVID-19.
Upon their discharge, the two nuns underwent an isolation period of 14 days at Bao Thang pagoda. However, when they had samples taken for the RT-PCR test on September 13, both of their results came back positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
They have subsequently been brought to the General Hospital of Quang Nam province to receive further treatment.
Quang Nam province had previously announced another relapse case involving a 19-year-old from Que Son district.
