Tourists stranded in coronavirus hotspot arrive in Quang Binh
VOV.VN - More than 200 tourists from Quang Binh province who had been left stranded in Da Nang, the country’s largest novel coronavirus hotspot, were able to safely return home on September 3.
This marks the first journey facilitated by Quang Binh province in an effort to bring local people back home. In line with the plans, a fleet of 18 passenger coaches and over 40 staff were mobilised in an effort to support stranded tourists in the central city.
Passengers who were given priority include the elderly, women, children, in addition to other special cases.
Upon their arrival in Quang Binh, each of the tourists underwent a health check-up before being sent to concentrated quarantine facilities in line with regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.
At present, up to 1,994 citizens in Quang Binh province have undergone a period of isolation at concentrated facilities or at their home.
The provincial health department recommended that local people should be aware of steps to take that can halt the spread of the virus, while strictly complying with regulations on disease prevention and control.
