Tornado hits central coast of Vietnam
VOV.VN - A tornado dozens of metres high has struck the waters off Cua Lo town in the central province of Nghe An.
Some fishermen captured the clip and posted it on social network on October 4, drawing plenty of attention from the public and receiving thousands of likes, comments, and shares.
The rare phenomenon is said to be near Dao Mat (Eye Island), and took place approximately 10 nautical miles from the mainland, fortunately causing no harm to local people.
Witnesses said that the tornado reached a height of up to dozens of metres high, lasted for several minutes, and happened when there was no lightning and no rain.
According to many fishermen, this is a rare natural phenomenon which occurred in this coastal area.
