Sluice cover blown out, high tides causing big flood in HCM City

VOV.VN - Water from a flood control sluice submerged hundreds of houses in district 12 after the cover was blown out by high tides, seriously damaging people’s property.

Many houses in district 12 were suddenly submerged on January 2 evening.

 Thanh Loc and Thach Xuan wards were hardest hit.

The flooding is attributed to a blown out flood control sluice cover.

 Some alleys are submerged in 1metre of flood.

Flood water inundated a local garment workshop, causing huge losses.




Residents stay up all night long to save their property.

In the morning of January 3, The flood water gradually receded.
