Saigon traffic sinks into chaos under heavy rain

Torrential rain and gusty winds on May 19 afternoon caused heavy traffic jams in central Ho Chi Minh City.

At around 4:30pm, rain started pouring down onto central Ho Chi Minh City, affecting vision and causing traffic jam on Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Huu Canh, Nguyen Du Streets.
A motorist falls down as roads become slippery.
Heavy rain and gusty wind make many motorists on Ton Duc Thang Street lose balance.
Many have to turn on headlights due to limited vision.
Heavy rains also hold up traffic leading to Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street is paralyzed at 6:30 p.m.
