VOV.VN - Quang Nam province in central Vietnam has scrambled to control a coronavirus outbreak that was recorded at a secondary school for ethnic students in Phuoc Son district on October 13.

An additional five positive cases were confirmed on October 14 after 17 students and a teacher of Phuoc Chanh school were diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus a day earlier, said local authorities.
The authorities immediately shut the school and conducted contact tracing as well as COVID-19 testing to early detect and isolate all F0 cases.
As many as 330 students and 25 teachers have been placed in quarantine at the school, and their first COVID-19 tests have proved all negative.
Le Quang Trung, chairman of Phuoc Son district’s administration, said 30 medical workers were mobilised to take samples for COVID-19 testing to separate F0 cases from the wider community.
The source of virus infection is yet to be identified.
