Police arrest 3 during major drug bust in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The Vietnam News Agency has reported that law enforcement officials in Hanoi have jailed three people in Hanoi on charges of possession with intent to distribute illicit drugs and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug enforcement officers say they stopped a truck carrying two men and one woman on September 11 at a petrol station in the district of My Duc in Hanoi and seized 15 bags of what is believed to be heroin along with a plastic bag containing an estimated 2,000 ecstasy pills.

The suspects reportedly acknowledged they were transporting the drugs for a Chinese man from Moc Chau in northern Son La Province to Lang Son Province for transportation to China.

All three were taken to jail in Hanoi while the investigation continues.
