PM Phuc offers Tet gifts to Dak Lak locals

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented Tet gifts to more than 100 needy workers during his visit to the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on February 8.

The PM asked the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to  ensure timely assistance for disadvantaged workers nationwide and Dak Lak in particular to ensure they will enjoy a happy traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

He praised the confederation and local businesses for their attention to local workers and their organization of Tet celebrations for them while stressing the need to build more social houses for workers and kindergartens for their children.

The same day, Prime Minister Phuc also delivered Tet gifts to social policy beneficiaries and ethnic minority households in Kram village, Ea Tieu commune, Co Kuin district.

Ea Tieu is home to over 4,700 households in 12 ethnic people, primarily living on growing coffee and pepper trees.

During the visit, the cabinet leader also paid pre-Tet visits to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers Nguyen Thi Huong and Nguyen Thi Dom, and local former leaders.
