Over 6,000 COVID-19 patients discharged from HCM City field hospital
VOV.VN - Field Hospital No. 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, the largest coronavirus hotspot in Vietnam, has discharged 6,209 COVID-19 patients since its operation on June 7.
The hospital has admitted more than 8,000 injected patients, of whom 6,209 have been released after making a full recovery from the disease, according to Dr. Ly Quoc Cong, head of the clinical department.
Dr. Cong said each day the hospital discharges hundreds of patients, with the peak day reaching more than 1,600 cases.
Currently, Field Hospital No.3 is making use of a three-tiered treatment model to treat three categorized groups of patients according to the severity of symptoms. It has built an intensive care unit (ICU) located in the basement with a capacity of 200 beds.
