Nestle Vietnam promotes sports activities in local schools

VOV.VN - The Physical Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Nestlé Vietnam, under which the company will sponsor nationwide school sports activities until 2026.

The co-operation scheme aims to promote education and healthcare activities in schools across the country, thereby ensuring the comprehensive physical and mental development of the young generation.

The move will also be an opportunity for the Nestlé MILO brand to continue sponsoring sports programmes, whilst accompanying the MoET in creating new playground facilities for children.

As part of these efforts, Nestlé Vietnam and the Nestlé MILO brand will sponsor a range of sports activities, including a national elementary and secondary schools football tournament.

This is in addition to a national student swimming tournament, a national student Vovinam, a national student athletics tournament, and the National Phu Dong Sports Festival with total funding of VND38 billion in cash, uniforms, and Nestlé MILO products.

Over the past 25 years, Nestlé MILO has reached over 2.5 million kids in sport events. Most notably, the Active Vietnam programme, which was initially launched by Nestlé MILO back in 2016, has been highly appreciated by children, their parents, and teachers across the country.
