Local dancer helps UNICEF protect environment

VOV.VN - Vietnamese dancer Quang Dang have joined children in a UNICEF-funded video to raise public awareness of climate change and the need for greater environmental protection.

The video was released recently to mark World Children’s Day, which falls on November 20.

The video posted on social media shows the local dancer practice with children as they carry out the lovely movements which are easy to learn and follow.

The video also features the song “Cung hanh dong vi thien nhien”, (literally Let’s act together for nature) which is a joint product of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and singers Quan A.P and Nguyen Jenda.

Quang Dang stated that the dance could help to raise public awareness of the issues, and he wanted to use his capacity to assist children in fulfilling the task.

All people are concerned about environmental protection, he noted, adding that both adults and children should join together in order to build a greener and cleaner future.

World Children's Day was first launched in 1954 as Universal Children's Day and is celebrated on November 20 annually so as to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and in an effort to improve children's welfare.

Quang Dang first became popular for his handwashing dance released in March amidst the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic in Vietnam.
