Last four COVID-19 patients given all-clear in Quang Nam
VOV.VN - Quang Nam province, a coronavirus hotspot in central Vietnam, discharged the last four COVID-19 patients September 29 after making a full recovery from the disease.
Two of the patients, who are Buddhist nuns at Bao Thang pagoda in Hoi An city, were diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus again two weeks ago during their mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
They were transferred to General Hospital of Quang Nam province for medical surveillance and treatment. Both had tested negative three times before being released from the hospital September 29.
The other two patients were also given the all-clear the same day following their three subsequent COVID-19 tests.
Quang Nam had registered dozens of COVID-19 infections after the virus recurred in its neighbouring locality, Da Nang.
The outbreak has currently been brought under control and the province has so far recorded no new locally transmitted coronavirus cases for the past 41 consecutive days.
