Large number of COVID-19 vaccines to arrive in October
VOV.VN - The nation is scheduled to receive a large number of COVID-19 vaccines ahead in October, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
This comes after the Ministry sent a document to the People's Committees of several provinces and cities regarding accelerating the progress of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign. This is along with detailing the large number of COVID-19 vaccines of various kinds which will arrive in the country between October and December.
Due to the impending arrival of these doses, localities nationwide must have well-prepared facilities, as well as sufficient equipment and human resources, to conduct the mass vaccination campaign.
As of September 27, the nation has inoculated more than 40 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, including 31.4 million people who have received one shot, along with 8,597,064 others who have been double jabbed.
The rate of people over the age of 18 and above who have received at least one dose of the vaccine has now reached 43.9%.
The MoH also asked localities to increase the rate of first-shot coverage and give out second vaccine doses to people who have already had their first shot.
