Lao Cai, Quang Ninh celebrate National Day in pictures

Celebrating National Day on September 2 alongside the rest of the country, more than 1,500 staff, teachers, and students of Nguyen Hue High School in Lao Cai province held a welcome program for incoming 10th graders themed "Proud of Vietnam."
The highlight of the event was a large-scale group performance and formation. On the school yard, over 1,500 teachers and students dressed in red and yellow moved in synchronization into assigned positions. From neat rows, they created a bright red flag with a gold star, followed by the display of the words "VIET NAM" and the numbers "2/9."
Quick movement, smooth coordination, and teamwork created a special scene on the school ground. The national flag, the word "VIET NAM," and the date "2/9" conveyed a lively yet solemn atmosphere, showing the patriotism and pride of the younger generation.
Alongside the human formation, a cultural program titled "Proud of Vietnam" written, choreographed, and performed by the teachers and students themselves, left a lasting impression, spreading love for the homeland.
For new 10th graders, the event marked the beginning of a new chapter in their school years. Taking part in National Day activities with their teachers and senior peers, many expressed excitement and pride.
Thousands sing national anthem atop Yen Tu mountain on Sept 2
Around 3,000 people attended a flag-raising ceremony and sang the national anthem atop Yen Tu Mountain in Quang Ninh province early on September 2 to mark the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
At dawn, over 3,000 local youth, residents, and visitors hiked up Yen Tu Mountain as part of the "Radiant Vietnam" program.
As sunrise broke over the sacred Dong Pagoda peak, thousands turned toward the national flag and sang the national anthem. The program also included prayers for national peace and stability and an incense offering at the statue of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong.
Organised as Quang Ninh marks a new stage of urban development, this event combined physical health with the spiritual experience of Yen Tu heritage. It not only strengthened national pride, but also fostered a shared determination for future growth based on cultural values and human potential.
