Lai Chau overcomes traffic difficulties following severe flooding

Many routes throughout the locality suffer from landslides which cause severe difficulties for local people when attempting to get around.

As a consequence of the floods an array of trees and large rocks are now blocking many roads, with hydraulic drilling needed to break the rocks.

It is likely that recovery efforts will take over one month to complete.

The rebuilding efforts result in disruption to local residents.
