Hoang Sa, Truong Sa exhibition opens in Binh Thuan
VOV.VN - A four-day exhibition has opened on September 8 in Binh Thuan Province chronicling the historical and legal evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.

On display are 154 documents, photos and other items along with 100 maps collected by Vietnamese and foreign experts evidencing that Vietnam has exercised sovereignty over the two archipelagos dating back to feudal times if not earlier.
Among the vast amount of evidentiary materials in the exhibit are original copies of Nguyen-dynasty official documents that directly establish Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
The exhibition unequivocally demonstrates that from ancient times forward, Vietnam has always exercised sovereignty over the islands, said Vu Van Tuan, director of the Binh Thuan Province Department of Information and Communication in a speech at the opening ceremony.
Further, he noted, that Vietnam has exercised its sovereignty in full compliance with the requisites of international law.
