High-class sex ring smashed in city
Ho Chi Minh City police busted a call girl ring on June 2 after they raided a hotel in District 1 and caught red-handed four high-class prostitutes having sex with well-off clients.
Beauty queens, models, and ‘online hot girls’ were involved in the ring run by Tran Quang Mai, 40, who resides in Tan Binh District.
Investigators said that a few days ago Mai introduced a rich client to 27-year-old Vo Thi My Xuan, a local beauty queen in a Mekong Delta province, at US$2,000 per appointment.
On June 2, Mai asked a hot girl and a student to serve clients for US$2,500 and VND5 million (US$250) per appointment, respectively.
Most prostitutes of the ring received half of the profits for selling themselves, the investigators added.
Apart from being a prostitute, Xuan was an agent for another queen beauty and model who sold herself for US$1,500 per appointment, of which she received US$500.
Xuan was born in 1985 in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang. In 2009, she defeated 170 contestants to be crowned at Soc Trang Beauty Pageant also known as Beauty Contest of South MeKong.
After winning the contest, she has been invited to participate in several fashion shows and to pose for magazines.
Xuan has graduated from a college and is currently an assistant for a marketing company and a popular model on catwalk in HCM City.
In related news, on May 24, Hanoi police raided a hotel in Ba Dinh District and caught two couples in the act. Concurrently, HCM City police also found another couple at M&M hotel.
