HCM City invests in public 5-star toilets

(VOV) -Ho Chi Minh City has provided local people and visitors with free five-star toilets in public places throughout the city.

The city recently installed an additional 12 free public restrooms in big parks, such as Le Van Tam, September 23, Tao Dan, and Gia Dinh in 2013 at a cost of VND800 million – VND1 billion each, with plans to open 100 more.

The 60-square metre restrooms have been made following five-star standards just like those in luxury hotels, restaurants and bars and have opened to the public from 5am to 10pm daily.

HCM City is the most populous locality in Vietnam and more than 60% of tourists to Vietnam pass through it. The city now has more than 200 public restrooms, mostly serving visitors.
