Exhibitors will showcase their latest products and technology in 150 pavilions at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Trade Fair Centre. They include local broadcasting equipment suppliers (Sony Vietnam, Hoang Kim, Tri Duc, Vinematim and Emico), local computer companies (Vinh Xuan, Vinh Trinh and Tran Anh) and global audio/visual and lighting equipment and software suppliers such as RFS, Plisch, Eddyston/SBS, Harmonic Inc, Emcore, Photon Beard, Hamlet, Broadata, Maah, Eela Audio, Sonifex, Tascam and Superior Electric.
The event, which is jointly organised by Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), Vietnam Television (VTV), the Vietnam Electronics Business Association and the Vietnam Trade Fair and Advertising Company (VINAXAD), is expected to attract more than 70,000 visitors.
“As a member of the organising board, we hope that trade partners and visitors will have a better understanding about VOV and its products as well as IT products from other suppliers,” said VOV Deputy General Director Hoang Minh Nguyet.
Vietnam is a potential market for developing telecoms, electronics and IT products with their revenues reaching US$2.3 billion last year. The figure is expected to hit US$3 billion this year. Its telecoms sector has achieved an annual growth rate of 50 percent over the past two years, ranking third in the world. Regarding the revenue growth rate, the country is among three Asian leading IT developers, with revenue fetching US$1.88 billion in 2005 and the figure is estimated to reach US$5 billion by 2010.
