The competition concluded on the evening of December 1 after a week of contests, and during the award ceremony, organizers announced that every member of the Vietnamese team had secured a medal.

Representing Vietnam this year, the Hanoi team comprised six 10th-grade students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

The IJSO is a prestigious international competition for students around 15 years old, organized on a rotating basis by the education ministries of participating countries to encourage early introduction with scientific knowledge and intenisfy cultural exchange among students and teachers within the international scientific community.

This year’s contest took place from November 23 to December 2 at the Sirius territory in the Russian Federation, attracting 150 contestants from 24 countries and territories.

For many years, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has been tasked by the Ministry of Education and Training with selecting students for IJSO, consistently achieving high results and affirming the quality and reputation of the Vietnamese education sector.

Over 15 years of participation, Hanoi teachers and students have built an international network for scientific research and innovation in teaching methods, while also promoting Vietnam as a peaceful, friendly, and dynamic country to international friends.
