Hanoi set for reopening of bars, karaoke venues, and nightclubs
VOV.VN - Bars, karaoke parlours, and nightclubs throughout the capital are set to reopen as of 0:00 on March 23 following the recent COVID-19 containment, according to Chu Xuan Dzung, vice chairman of the municipal People's Committee.
Dzung made the announcement during a meeting of the Hanoi Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control on March 22.
As part of the reopening of these businesses, Dzung said people attending these venues will be required to make medical declarations via QR Code and the Blue Zone application in an effort to ensure epidemic preventive measures.
Localities must move to intensify inspection measures and punish any violations which are detected, he noted.
He also revealed that the capital has agreed to organise events which will involve large gatherings of people, although any epidemic preventive measures must be in accordance with the guidance promoted by the Ministry of Health.
He also requested that directors of relevant units at a grassroots level continue implementing the dual goal of epidemic prevention and economic recovery so as to get the local economy back on track.
Hanoi has confirmed 34 coronavirus cases in the community since the virus recurred in late January 2021. It has gone 35 days without new locally transmitted coronavirus infections.
